DeAnn SanVal
is a screenwriter/script analyst and consultant of both original and adapted works for screen and television. DeAnn worked in Development alongside the esteemed Sherry Robb of The Robb Company Los Angeles for 11 years before Sherry's passing Feb 14, 2025 - “Sherry and I spent hundreds of hours together over the years discussing story, literary and talent development. I am especially grateful for our friendship. She will always be with me in spirit in whatever projoect I embark on."
DeAnn holds a B.A. in Political Science from UCLA, and graduated Magma Cum Laude with an MFA from Pepperdine's prestigious Writing for Screen and Television program. She is also a returning judge for UCLA'S TFT Screenwriting Festival - She has continued her education beyond her MFA degree with Moving Picture Institute's Director's/Cinematography program, is a member of the Rocaberti Writer's Hall of Fame, and reached TOP 8% in both Coverfly's Comedy & Drama Red List. DeAnn’s writing expertise is bolstered by more than two decades working in television and live stage production. She has worked with Hollywood’s most prestigious industry professionals, coordinating entertainment for Los Angeles’ biggest live and televised events including: The Oscars, The Grammys, The Emmys, The Golden Globes, The SAG Awards, The American Music Awards, The MTV Awards…
DeAnn is currently writing on several projects in development and in post production.
